Penny Black Saturday Challenge-Anything Goes... Winter Illumination

Mid Way Reminder

Anything Goes!

I knew if I did not finish this card...I would loose all the parts and pieces I had ready to go.  Of course, it was meant to be finished and sent last month, but hey, that's another story!

I was a little stumped on how to use this stamp set as the window has a row of bricks around it, but not enough to complete a background. What I did was cut the window out and drew in building siding to complete my scene...Worked pretty slick. I am pretty sure that trick was inspired by Sandy Allnock-she is amazing!

I also drew in the ground and added glitter to it. I finished off the scene with a fun lamp post that is included in this Winter Illumination stamp set, and several little critters from Holly Day Critters and Jolly Friends. Transparent sets are perfectly sized to add to little scenes like this!

I put this scene together and debated whether to add snow flakes or not...a lot of work if I didn't like it. I fretted for about a minute and just went with it LOL! I am glad I did. Stamped pieces were cut out with my ScanNCut2. Although I only use it  to cut out stamps, it has more than endeared itself to me!

I hope you can find time to join our January Challenge! Take a hop over to the blog (link at the top) and peek at all the wonderful inspiration shared already!

WOYW?W

You can blame this post on April Story...she came to visit me today and she lead me back to WOYW?W- What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! I haven't shared my workdesk with Julia in over 3 years! Oh my! For those newer to my blog, Miss Julia shares a pic of her crafty work desk (and encourages you to share a pic too) each Wednesday and has for over 8 years!

Actually I am stalling...

I took a vacation day today and designated it as Project Clean House! I must get all my holiday decor put away! But first I gave myself one hour to play on the computer-and look what happened!

Today my desk looks pretty much the same as always, although today I am prepared to do book work for my Dad as well, that explains the piles of papers I 'organized' last night. You can see a few new pictures in place and the ever present big cup of crushed ice and a big roll of vinyl transfer tape on the floor by my chair.  At the end of my desk you can see a wooden sign I just stenciled for my Dad-waiting for a coat of stain-maybe that will happen today if when I get my chores done.......pop over and say hello to Julia if you have a few minutes!

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge ATG or Winter

#257

Our NEW challenge at HMFMC

MIDWAY REMINDER

***ANYTHING GOES***
(using any House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image )

OR

WINTER
(using any House-Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffie image )

Oh my-the things I went through in order to get this stamp! I went to a Holiday open house at a Craft Store about 90 minutes from my home and stood in line in the cold and rain-mainly because I had my eye on this stamp! And...I am so glad I did-it colors up beautifully and can certainly be multi-purpose for winter and Christmas, depending on the color you use. It is one of those stamps that just catches your heart when you see it. Do you have a favorite stamp that sucks you in like that?

I colored this image with copics and stamped the sentiment from the clear House Mouse set named Hoppy Moments. I colored the sky blue and then 'scribbled' around with my copic blender pen to make the clouds. I also added some glitter on top of the branches to finish off the adorable scene. I enlarged this Snowflake Frame from the Silhouette Store and used it for  my card base-giving it a little touch of distressing around the edges.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge ...a wizard!

Join our January 2018 Challenge
Anything Goes

I colored this little nighttime book worm wizard (...a wizard stamp can be found here at 123 Stitch)  with copics and sponged the dark background with distress inks. I added the sentiment with this Harry Potter font. This last week was a week of holiday movies---a Harry Potter-thon plays every year after Christmas and  I binge watch Harry Potter and Hallmark movies like crazy- a good way to relax after the hectic holidays...that's just how it works out...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge-Joy to the World

Mid Way Reminder

Join our December  Challenge

Winter/Christmas

Off to Grandma's house we go...

Yessiree--I was playing with my distress inks again...creating this little night scene (from the Joy to the World clear set) for my little hedgie to drive through. I distressed the scene and then added the cut out image on pop dots.  I  added snow with my white Signo pen and white embossed the Tim Holtz sentiment. A fun little card to make! Darn but I have so many new PB Christmas stamps to use and no time to color them up...guess I will have to start early on cards for the holidays in 2018.

There are soooo many cute  holiday images to choose from it was hard to pick...I must admit to having a pile of new HM holiday stamps-it is just finding the time to get them all colored!

I colored this image -Nestled in Bed with copics and added several layers to the image...the stocking and the whole bed of meeces! I finished the design off with a little doodling with my white signo pen. The sentiment was a perfect fit for this stamp and is a retired set from CardzTV 'Home for Christmas'. The box is cut with my Silhouette and can be found here.
